From fronting The Mowgli’s to his now solo project, Colin Dieden aka “Little Hurt” is reinventing himself. His namesake originates from playing a nod to Franke “The Big Hurt” Thomas. His reason for branching out? Easy. He wanted to create something all on his own and with his latest track, “Better Drugs,” it’s easy to see that is very well happening.
Tell me the one thing you're most excited about this year?
"I'm really looking forward to taking Little Hurt on the road. I love performing live so much and it's been a while since we've taken all this time to wrap up the EP and get the single launched. It will be cool to see how people react to these new songs in a live setting."

What can fans expect from your new project as Little Hurt?
LH: It's going to be extremely honest while remaining extremely catchy. I love catchy music. That's what I listen to and that's what grabs my heart. Also, I am obsessed with the challenge.
How has your past experiences in The Mowgli's shaped this genre and era for you?
LH: "I spent 10 years traveling around and feeling lonely all over the world so I definitely accumulated a lot to write about over those years. I know how to be a great frontman, I know how to put on a show, I know how to write a song. I feel that it's nice to have all that experience so that I have a leg up as opposed to starting from zero as a new solo artist."
Tell me about your new single "Better Drugs" and what we can expect from the EP?
LH: "My new single 'Better Drugs' is the first song I wrote for what would become this solo project as Little Hurt. It's the song that essentially showed me that it was time to leave my band and challenge myself to find what was next. What was deeper inside myself. This whole EP coming later this year is dripping in honesty and authenticity."
