This past Memorial Day Weekend in Arlington, Texas, played host to the return of So What?! Music Festival at Choctaw Stadium. After a five-year absence from the Texas music festival scene, this years event had something for everyone. The lineup was packed with a variety of heavy hitters in Alt-Rock, Pop-Punk, Heavy Metal, and Hip Hop. At times So What?! showed shades …
Coachella 2019: Our Favorites Acts
I was lucky enough to attend Beychella last year so I knew this year’s had to be something special. Needless to say, this year did not disappoint either. I’m not sure if it’s the heat, but there’s an overwhelming feeling about setting foot onto the grounds and being greeted by all the colorful art exhibits. It almost makes me forget …

SXSW 2019 Diary
(Photo by Joe Scarnici/Getty Images for Culture Trip) Monday Okay, let’s be honest the time before Tuesday is just time for me to go to parties and feel important before I go back to feeling like human trash. Float Fest 2018: The Heat, The Bands, The Deer Head
When I set out for San Marcos on Saturday, I expected to have an amazing time, hang out with friends, drink, enjoy the music, and have a really memorable experience in a beautiful area. That’s far from what I got at Float Fest.
An Honest Review of Float Fest 2018
On social media, this festival looked really promising. Incredible acts, river floating, camping, cheap VIP tickets; it had everything it needed to be a really wonderful time for the attendees. However, that’s not what I and many others experienced.
Same Same But Different Isn’t Your Normal Festival
This inaugural two-day music & arts festival will celebrate the end of summer in a jaw-dropping setting and feature a diverse range of multi-genre musical acts that build in energy throughout the day.
Planning For Float Fest
In less than two weeks it will time for another summer festival – Float Fest!
If you somehow aren’t familiar with Float Fest, it occurs every summer in the lovely city of San Marcos, Tx, offering the chance to go tubing with your best buds before the performances start at 2. p.m. Different from more traditional festivals, this one allows you to have your cake and eat it, too. Festival goers have the option to spend the morning tubing in the San Marcos river, a common past time down south, camping the night away after the festival, and enjoying performances in the later afternoon/evening.
Hangout Fest 2018 Highlights
First of all, I want to shout out Chelsea for the great additional coverage at this year’s Hangout Festival. We were both able to cover multiple acts every day while still finding time to see our personal choices as well. Here is my brief overview and recap.
All Of Our Favorites From Hangout Fest 2018
Hangout Fest was hands down the best music festival I’ve been to thus far: the lineup, the hangs, the hospitality, THE BEACH! Everything down to the last detail was perfect and added up to a fun experience that I would never trade for anything. Driving eight hours from Houston to Gulf Shores on an incredibly tight budget was worth it.
