Ava Lake is crazy talented and her EP The Rise is all I’ve listened to since last week. Her video “God’s a Ghost” dropped this month too and it is incredible.
She tells me, "My inspiration for 'God's a Ghost' was the feeling I felt of frustration and loneliness when someone I deeply loved disappointed me. Sometimes people feel like some hidden force is going to fix things for them, and when that force doesn't come around it can feel mystifying. I wrote this song in my childhood bedroom after I had moved home from college and, a lot of emotions about my family and the past four years bubbled up and influenced the song."
