MINOE's new song "Burden" is something we all need to hear, especially if you've ever felt like a burden to someone.
She says, "'Burden' is a song I wrote (after an awkward first date lol) about feeling like my presence was too much for someone to handle. AND YA KNOW WHAT it might’ve been! But I’ve learned that nothing/no one should ever make me feel like I’m too much or that I need to tone myself down. People who aren’t comfortable with your light shining are often people who aren’t comfortable with their own, and that’s OKAY! It takes time! I just hope that if you ever feel that your presence is a ~burden~ to someone you remember that it’s most likely a reflection of what that person is going through and not something that’s wrong witchu."
Amber Ais has the sweetest voice and her songs are always too relatable.
She says, "Basically I wrote this song because I had a dream about my ex boyfriend and I was like "Ew gross. That was weird....I'll probably write a song about this." But then I realized I wrote so many songs about him already. So I ended up writing a song about how I write too many songs about him. Every artist has a muse and some people just make for good content. Even though he is not part of my life and I have no desire to be with him, some situations stick with you and are hard to escape them in your art. It's just easier to write about it sometimes.
Baker Grace's gorgeous voice over this slow burn of a song is the perfect combo.
She explains, "‘I Feel For You' is about fighting for someone who is struggling with their mental health and constantly being rejected," the 20-year-old native New Yorker Grace explains. "It's the frustration of not being able to take away their pain and make them believe that you truly love them."
Illicit Ghost's new song "Higher" is the exact energy we need, and such an important reminder.
She says, “One day someone came along and completely turned my world upside down in the best way when I least expected it. I cherish every second that I get to share with my partner. I’m getting better at living in the moment and believing that I am worthy of love.”
