emilytreadgold #1, New 9 Tracks

Cara Hart is the queen of cool, this song is so sultry. It's the embodiment of warm summer nights, expensive perfume, and neon lights. It's the moody masterpiece that makes you remember all of the mistakes you've made in love, but it's a total vibe. Cara's mellifluous vocals just send me and the production on this song is so haunting.

We live for a feminist anthem and Pale Waves just bodies this song.

Heather Baron-Gracie says, "'You Don’t Own Me’ is a song for women about what it’s like to be a woman in this world. How society depicts, judges, and criticizes women on a daily basis. This song is incredibly important to me and I wanted to represent my own experiences. I also wanted to say a f*ck you to everyone that plays by these fake, delusional rules that say women and gender need to fit inside a specific box."

Arlo Parks new dreamy album is absolute perfection front to back. Arlo's specific lyrics feels like you're opening a page in her diary. As for as debut albums go, this one shows you exactly who Arlo Parks is, genre-defying, smooth, poetic. The opening (and title) track is a powerful spoken word that sets up for the cathartic release of the project. Delicate, moving, and effortless this is an album you'll never get tired of listening to.
Y'all I love Liz Huett's voice so much, and her lyrics are always so relatable. She just feels like your best friend. "There Goes My Heart" is like the sweetest rom-com in song version. Not overly sugary, the perfect dose of effortless cool. To be honest, it will make you feel lonely af, but shout-out to all of the happy couples out there! Maybe there's still hope for us!
