emilytreadgold #1, New 9 Tracks

Lana Lana Lana, my Lana obsession continues. I love the languid, soft vocals on this album that shifts between cold and chilling to country ballads. It's intense, it's poetic, it's everything you want in a Lana album.

Joyce Wrice is a force! We're so obsessed with her and this project is no skips!!

She says, “We made ‘Overgrown’ over a span of 3 years and this music is a result of me tending my garden. My garden, my emotions, and my thoughts are full of a variety of colorful flowers but they were overrun by weeds. These sessions and collaborations were opportunities for me to do my gardening and create value from everything that I was going through. My intention for this album is to inspire and encourage people to never give up on themselves and embrace your journey with joy and confidence despite the struggle to get to where you want to be."

We love Dasha's gorgeous voice and effortless pop and her new EP has been on loop lately.

She says, “The mood of the entire project swings from crying on your birthday, to being so innocently in love with someone, to getting cheated on, to finally being the confident bitch you’re supposed to be. This EP is the epitome of all the ups and downs I’ve felt over the past year. It’s very honest and vulnerable, since all of these songs are inspired by real emotions I’ve gone through.”

Nuela Charles new song "Space" is so important right now. If you've been cooped up with someone for a year, you need this.

Charles shares, “Even though it was written prior to the pandemic, it kind of fits perfect. We’re all longing for personal interactions, but for the safety and wellbeing of everyone, we’re told we need to separate. The one thing no one wants. Space gives you the right to be in your feelings about it for 3 minutes and 30 secs.”

mxmtoon can even turn the most overplayed cliche Radiohead song into a new work of art. The best covers are the ones where they make it sound like their own song, they add those twists and dose of originality. Truly a work of art.
