emilytreadgold #1, New 9 Tracks

Indie pop queen Verite just dropped her new song "think of me" and it's perfection.

She told her followers, "i hope you fuck her with your eyes closed & think of me. out now. meant to be sung loudly with both middle fingers in the air directed at a fuckboy who never deserved you"

Elle Winter's dreamy new "Thought of Me" is a prime example of her sound. The song is about only loving the thought of someone instead of their problems. It's pop perfection and shows off Elle's warm vocals and lush melodies.

“Gameboy”, a song with heavy-lidded effect about feeling so deeply for someone that you’re willing to do anything. On the inspiration behind the song, Bahari shared, "Gameboy holds a special place in our hearts and is one of our favorite songs from our upcoming album. To us, this song is about accepting being played by someone because the infatuation outweighs the fear of them not being yours forever. We wrote this song with our dear friend and amazing artist Mehro, who describes the song as "an innocent lust."

“’Midas’ is a song about a mythical, undying love — the struggle in daring to let your walls down, open up your heart and become mortal. You can build your life up in solid gold, but it might come at the great cost of starving your heart through isolation,” Skott says.

Shedding light on her songwriting process, Skott reveals “Even before writing the lyrics, I felt it was very romantic. The melodies are a one take that just came to me while I was improvising over the loop. I was hypnotized, and most of the song wrote itself in less than 15 minutes,” she continues. “The lyrics took longer, but it might be the quickest song I’ve ever made. It’s like the song fell from the sky and all the pieces were there, so why would I mess with it?’”

Soft guitar strums tickled with subtle beats emphasize the intimacy of the lyrics as they swell from soft fragile verses into a building falsetto of pure emotion. Delicate and intimate, yet celebratory, “I Never Cried So Much In My Whole Life” is a raw moment of reflection for lead singer Tim Nelson as he shares a recent experience of true simplified happiness:

“I Never Cried So Much In My Whole Life is a song about happy crying. I remember being at home and looking over at Bolan, Miss and Eve (Tim and Bolan’s dogs) on the couch - they all looked so beautiful and happy and I was filled with so much gratitude and happiness and pride for how far we’d come and how many obstacles we’d overcome to get to that point.– lead singer Tim Nelson

Allie X really outdid herself, her new song "Rings a Bell" is so catchy it's been stuck in my head all day.

She told Instagram, "The feeling of having been somewhere before is one that I explored in the last year of my writing. This song is more about falling into a rabbit hole, experiencing something surreal, in a dream, or in your subconscious perhaps..."
