OBB has been on our radar for a while now and we are beyond excited to premiere their gorgeous new video for "Close By" the song is the perfect summer slow dance. The video has a grainy aesthetic that brings up nostalgic memories and small magical moments. OBB's wives are featured throughout the video with real-life moments snapped on set which brings a whole new layer to the video.
How did OBB get started?
OBB: Being brothers, we tend to do a lot of things together. We enjoy playing music and creating music together. We found that when we played together, we had this great connection, so we started with a local Battle of the Bands, and that led to CBS' Battle of the Bands. And the rest is history!
What was the inspiration for this video?
OBB: The inspiration from this video came from us wanting to show the contrast between being away from our loved ones and how we are when we are with them. As musicians, we travel a lot, and we can’t always take our families with us.
What has been the biggest challenge for you in the music industry?
OBB: The biggest challenge is building a brand. Trying to get our name out as a new band can be difficult. There are so many great musicians out there, it can be tough to stick out from the crowd.
What’s your best piece of advice for young artists?
OBB: Make sure you pursue music because you love it and not to just become a rock star.
