Just when I thought I was going to get through 2018 without another obsession over a pop artist, shye came along. His song “Wither” really resonated with me and I’ve had it on loop for weeks, so to premiere the video is super exciting.
He says, "This song is about being planted in a place, or a situation by someone you love. Somewhere you thought you'd grow together, but as time passes and things change, you realize you're stuck in that place to watch that person you love grow and move on, while you stay stagnant and start to wilt. It's about trying to find a way to blossom on your own, when all your plans involved blooming into a life with that person. I wrote it about the only person I've ever loved, to try and cope with losing her."
