Kim Petras is back and this is the dawn of a new era. and we're all here for it.
She shared, "I felt so anxious at the start of lockdown because for me the most anxiety-inducing thing is not being able to work and do what I love, 'Future Starts Now' came from trying to stay present, instead of stressing about the future and all the lost time."
Kacy Hill never misses, her haunting voice and vulnerable lyrics are always such a good combo.
She shared, "'Seasons Bloom' is about finding refuge and moments of calm in the person I love. Over the course of the pandemic, I had gotten used to writing exclusively at home on my own—a big creative departure for me—so when John and I worked together he would come up with a few piano or synth ideas that I could take to go. Jim-E came to a session with us one day and plucked a few notes on the bass that started a weird lil jam called 'Seasons Bloom.' I took the session apart at home and turned it into something entirely different but kept the name."
Halsey's new album is a force, this is absolutely a work of art. She said, "I have waited my whole life to be exactly where I am right now, and at times I have enjoyed the darkness along the way."
The combination of the flawless, chilling production surrounding the theme of motherhood is unlike anything I've heard before.
