When I set out for San Marcos on Saturday, I expected to have an amazing time, hang out with friends, drink, enjoy the music, and have a really memorable experience in a beautiful area. That’s far from what I got at Float Fest.
An Honest Review of Float Fest 2018
On social media, this festival looked really promising. Incredible acts, river floating, camping, cheap VIP tickets; it had everything it needed to be a really wonderful time for the attendees. However, that’s not what I and many others experienced.
Planning For Float Fest
In less than two weeks it will time for another summer festival – Float Fest!
If you somehow aren’t familiar with Float Fest, it occurs every summer in the lovely city of San Marcos, Tx, offering the chance to go tubing with your best buds before the performances start at 2. p.m. Different from more traditional festivals, this one allows you to have your cake and eat it, too. Festival goers have the option to spend the morning tubing in the San Marcos river, a common past time down south, camping the night away after the festival, and enjoying performances in the later afternoon/evening.

I have NEVER been to Float Fest, such a shame. Their lineups have been getting increasingly better every year and despite the heat, I thought I would venture out to see what this fest was all about.
