As soon as I heard Nightly’s song “XO” on the Spotify discover playlist I was immediately hooked. I jotted it down in my phone, re-listened and immediately sent it to all of our contributors. I put them on all of my playlists and everyone always asks me about them. I knew we needed a interview before they were out of reach.
Believe it or not, you’ve heard Maty Noyes and her ridiculous talent. You probably just didn’t know it. Prior to releasing her own EP, the singer/songwriter worked with some pretty familiar names. Not only did she write “Stay” with her collaboration with Kygo, but she’s also the sultry voice you hear in The Weeknd’s “Angel.”

Ever discover a band and you wish you were the only one who knew they existed? That’s kinda how I felt about the Los Angeles based trio, LANY (pronounced lay-nee for those who didn’t know). The trio is made up of Paul Klein, Lee Priest, and Jake Gross and they were the focal point of my summer soundtrack. The guys made a stop in Memphis, Tennessee during their tour, so of course I had to go. They played at the 1884 Lounge at Minglewood Hall and had a very intimate show. Klein, the frontman of the group, even made a point to bring up how lucky they were to play in a small city such as Memphis.
