Kios is an indie rock band based in Nashville, TN. The three piece is made up of Cole Suddarth (vocals/guitar), Aaron Krak (drums), and Mitch Wollenberg (bass). Cole and Aaron met through a previous band that formed at Belmont University – Aaron and Mitch grew up together in Newark, Ohio; all three moved to Nashville in 2014 to pursue music.
Leyya, an Austrian band you need to know, released their second album Sauna only a few months ago. Though their second addition, they’ve really found and defined their sound yet keep it playful enough to remain lighthearted. Coachella has a lot of incredible acts this year but we came back from the massive festival absolutely obsessed with The Regrettes. They brought this youthful energy to the festival that not a lot of acts could muster, I don’t even mean just their ages but their outspokenness and their energy. With their projects, ‘Feel Your Feelings, Fool!’ and ‘Attention Seeker’ The band is already causing waves in the music world but we just want to emphasize how this band of young women (and their equally badass male drummer Maxx) became the coolest band at Coachella.
ONR. was born in Glasgow and raised between the Scottish highlands and southern Scotland. His music is eclectic and different. His booming voice over a mix of synths and lilting melodies. You can easily taste the influence from icons like Elton John and Bruce Springsteen but also his contemporaries like Arcade Fire and The Killers.
Young Rising Sons will always have a very special place in my heart. When I first started writing about music they were one of the first bands I interviewed. Their song “High” was everywhere and it was easily one of the sunniest and catchiest songs I’d heard.
