If you’re an avid teen drama series fanatic, chances are you’ve heard Cat Pierce’s sultry voice on more than one instance. Being apart of the Pretty Little Liars fandom, I hear Pierce at least once a week. The show’s theme song, “Secret,” was recorded by she and her sister Allison. She and her sister Allison were both apart of The Pierces but recently CAT has decided to go solo.
Pickle Juice & Melodrama: A Modest Mouse Concert
It all started normally enough. With Honey-Nut Cheerios and Chipotle respectively inhaled, the usual kerfuffle of parking sorted out, and the journey to Comerica Theatre in downtown Phoenix accomplished, the roommate and I took some time to enjoy the scenery out front of the venue. Watching a guy yelling about selling tickets right next to a guy who was carrying on about needing tickets was one point of interest, and trying to guess which concert-goer went with what band was another.
Women In Music: Rachel Fuhrer
“She’s a boss. Maybe the hardest hitting drummer we’ve had.” That’s what Taylor Muse from Quiet Company told me when I was asking for recommendations on this series. I was immediately fascinated.
Women In Music: Niamh Fahy
Niamh is amazing. I’m being completely objective here. She’s not only a well-renowned studio musician but during this interview I learned she also started her own recording business and has her masters in music therapy. She’s traveled the world touring and she’s made so many bold choices that I can’t help but admire.
Lauren Giraldo Is A Proud Fierce Feminist
Lauren Giraldo is a busy girl. Her new series Lady Bits is packed with female empowerment and honest conversations on women’s rights and gender equality, but asides from that this boss lady is about to take on the world with her new single, “Only Lovers,” and will be embarking on a U.S. tour performing a mix of originals and covers.

SIGMA Is Right On The Verge
I pride myself on finding new music before my friends, so imagine my surprise when I realized that underground turned pop duo, SIGMA, had been around for about the last decade creating music. The duo is comprised of Cameron James “Cam” Edwards and Joseph Aluin “Joe” Lenzie.
A Look Into Aleem’s Open Letters
Just within the first few seconds of Aleem’s new EP Open Letters, it just feels like love. Can I explain that? It’s so positive and upbeat. Bright, sparkling songs start to finish.
How Verite Envisions Her Music
You may recognize the name Verite as a recent addition to your Spotify “Discover” playlist with her cover of The 1975’s “Somebody Else,” or you may not recognize the name at all – but, rest assured, it is soon likely to be a name you won’t forget.
LANY: The Kinda Tour
Ever discover a band and you wish you were the only one who knew they existed? That’s kinda how I felt about the Los Angeles based trio, LANY (pronounced lay-nee for those who didn’t know). The trio is made up of Paul Klein, Lee Priest, and Jake Gross and they were the focal point of my summer soundtrack. The guys made a stop in Memphis, Tennessee during their tour, so of course I had to go. They played at the 1884 Lounge at Minglewood Hall and had a very intimate show. Klein, the frontman of the group, even made a point to bring up how lucky they were to play in a small city such as Memphis.
