Stubbs in Austin was filled with a multi-generational crowd for Greta Van Fleet. It was clear that with the nostalgia came with the older crowd, and new interests brought in a younger crowd, one that was unfamiliar to Greta Van Fleet’s sound. Austin was their sixth US stop on their headlining tour.

It was Thursday after Hurricane Harvey when I went to go see Sylvan Esso in Austin at Stubbs, they had to cancel their Houston show but promised to make it up later. They were even using this opportunity in Austin to collect supplies and donate funds to relief efforts. That just goes to show how Sylvan Esso is more than a musical act.
The first time I saw Why Don’t We was on Valentine’s Day at a small venue in downtown Dallas, one they’d just been shifted to that night and weren’t sure the crowd would be the right size for.
