So maybe she’s dated her fair share of guys. Who hasn’t? She’s made plenty of frenemies. Yeah, again, who hasn’t? We all have our opinions on what she should and shouldn’t do. So when the announcement of her single and album all dropped in the same week, Swifties like me, were left shaken.
It’s hard to shake the amount of disgust we had when we were watching this trial unfold. I’d be shocked if there is a woman who hasn’t been touched inappropriately at one point in their lives, and it’s hard to get over. You just feel violated and shaken. It’s like you’re not in control of your own body.
Katie Costello has an otherworldly vibe about her. Her voice has been compared to Ingrid Michaelson and Regina Spektor. She has such a unique vision and way of looking at music and her new EP “New World” is unique and interesting.
The other day I was at a show with my friend and this guy across from me took an interest in my opinions on music. By “took an interest” I mean he decided to tell me how everything I was saying was stupid and I obviously didn’t know what I was talking about, but since he was older and man he understood ~the industry~ way more than little me. Now, here at The New Nine, we believe that everyone’s opinions on music are valid, but we especially like to stand up for young women because so few music publications do.

I was so equally excited and nervous for SXSW this year. I think it is hands-down the most important music event of the year. The bands that are performing aren’t your usual festival round-makers, they’re up-and-comers, and there’s just endless possibilities to meet new people in the industry. All opportunities await!
Why Don’t We is an internet sensation, their video “Taking You” already has over 200,000 views and is growing fast. Their “Only The Beginning” EP hit #15 on Billboard’s Heatseeker Albums Chart and I’m certain that they’re the next big thing.
There are certain songs that are synonymous with politics. There are songs we are almost guaranteed to hear every year. The songs that politicians use to represent their campaigns become an important and controversial subject. Whether it’s a snub at their opponent, a national-pride anthem, or just their musical taste. We’ve come to judge them on it.
Where do I even begin? My name is Kasey Coble, and I am a full-on #Directioner. What I am not, however, is a Directioner who still supports you in your solo endeavors. Don’t get me wrong – I am on board for the solo careers of Harry, Niall, Liam and Louis in whatever it may be: singing, acting, reality TV judging, etc. The difference is that they went about pursuing solo activities the right way and YOU did not.
I think a better question would be what didn’t go wrong with the meadows? I mean seriously this was the worst festival I have ever been too. I will say this is the festival’s first year but they are owned by Founder’s Entertainment, the same company that also puts on The Governor’s Ball Musical Festival that was founded in 2011.
