You Can Still Be A Fan And Hate The Album

TS6. The start of a new Taylor Swift era; another in which she reinvents herself, her music and her, dare I say it: reputation. Taylor is known for this kind of practice, and it’s an effective one – for months, this time years, we’ve all been on the edge of our seats waiting to see who the new Taylor is going to be.

Taylor Swift Can’t Still Be The Victim

“Our Song” was a cute one. The Fearless and Red albums were my jams. I loved them and felt decently about Taylor Swift herself. Circle back to the MTV Video Music Awards for that moment in history where that one thing happened with that Kanye West guy and I felt bad for her. I still loved Kanye, but I felt a bad for her. Then the Kanye/TSwift drama continued. Are they cool? Are they not cool? Oh they’re cool again! Wait. Kanye has a line in his song and suddenly they aren’t cool. Kanye confirmed something about Taylor, Taylor denied it, Kim K gave video evidence proving that it was true. Now Taylor has made herself the victim.

Erik Hassle’s Innocence Lost

My first experience with Swedish pop singer/songwriter Erik Hassle came (ironically) with my first heartbreak. His debut album, Hassle, came with the single “Hurtful” and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t blast to that for months. Let’s fast forward seven years later, and I was able to catch up with the Swedish pop singer-songwriter and discuss his new album, Innocence Lost.

How To Get Your Concert Tailgate In Formation

Once upon a time I tailgated a Beyoncé concert. It. Was. AWESOME.
I had never done it before and never ever EVER thought that a beloved sporting event pastime could do a crossover into the musical world. Maybe this has been happening and I have completely missed the memo on that but let me tell you, I have decided that tailgating at major stadium concerts should be a thing from here on out.

My Journey Of Being A Music Snob And Why I Stopped

emilytreadgold #2, Editorial

I can be a little bit of a music snob. My music criticism journey began early. When I was in elementary school *NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys were all the rage, and I was fully against them. I wanted to listen to The Beatles and The Beach Boys. I actually threw a tantrum in the car on the way to a field trip when the poor mother driving tried to put on some Top 40 radio station. I still feel bad about that.

Why 2015 Was The Year Of Taylor Swift

I would consider myself a pretty big Swiftie, by my own standards – I own all of her albums in physical form, I’ve cried to “You’re Not Sorry” and “All Too Well” when guys were the worst, I danced to 22 when I was 22 myself and I bought a T-shirt displaying the 1989 album cover when I went to the concert this year. I will stand up for her to so-called haters and stay up past my bedtime to watch her on The Tonight Show. #TeamSwift, am I right?
